In and around the villages that the Neighbor Kwa Jirani Foundation works, most people can not afford the most basic of healthcare. Many can not even afford emergency care for serious injury or sickness.
Because of this, the Foundation conducts 1-3 day medical clinics, which are totally free for children, expectant mothers, the elderly and handicapped.
We work with the County Medical Director and 20-25 of his staff to provide professional medical testing and care throughout the clinic. We set up each clinic in the public school where there is plenty of room for the hundreds of people that are seen every day
Each child and adult patient are given a full medical screening and tested for: HIV/AIDS and Malaria. All children are also given a de-worming application.
