Malaria is the #1 killer of children in the Southwestern corner of Kenya where the Neighbor Kwa Jirani Foundation works.
The following is a quote from the CDC's website, "In Kenya, there are an estimated 3.5 million new clinical cases and10,700 deaths each year, and those living in western Kenya have an especially high risk of malaria."
Most poor and orphaned children have no one to help them once Malaria infection has occurred. They cannot afford to be seen by the local clinic were Malaria treatment regimens and follow-up care could be purchased.
We want to continue to pay for Malaria treatment and aftercare for orphaned and poor children in the communities where the Foundation works.
